Vinyl Records Wanted
Today we had great morning at Keiths in St Helens!! Keith had just sold his house and had stored his records in the loft for over 20 years!! The records had been really well looked after; we haven't seen such an immaculate collection for a long time. Keith explained his meticulous cleaning rituals and it really showed. Beforehand,Keith had emailed a list of his collection over, which meant we had an exact price on arrival, we actually over estimated the value by £23 so everyone was happy! The collection was a really interesting one, with a really broad spectrum, lots of 70's/80's pop, some classic rock, nice prog, and even some obscure avant garde/ experimental stuff (which I may be keeping for myself!!), but a really unique and interesting lot. Before Keith moves into his new house, he's going travelling for a while with the Mrs in their caravan, he's transferred his music onto a USB stick, so he's got plenty of choons to listen to when he hits the road!!! Enjoy your road trip Keith.....thanks!!
After several visits we managed to organise the garage and get the vinyl out; some were a little damp, but overall they were great. Winston was really happy he got some money for Christmas and it was really great to meet such a knowledgeable and interesting guy, who just loved his music..... much respect Winston!!
